Lee's Ferry Colorado River Water Sports
Located five miles away, Lee's Ferry is a prime boating and whitewater rafting launch spot along the Colorado River. Guided rafting trips for all skill levels can be set up for short as well as extended trips through local concessionaires.
Lee's Ferry Colorado River Hiking Trails
Take advantage of endless opportunities to hike and explore areas of both historic and geologic interest. Be mindful that temperatures can be extreme, from below zero to well over 100F in the summer so pack and prep accordingly.
Lee’s Ferry River Trail
This 1-mile trail is rated easy and follows the old wagon road past Lee's Ferry Fort and Post Office, Spencer mining ruins and wreck of the steamboat. The trail ends at the main ferry site which is marked by ruins of rock houses.
Lee’s Ferry Spencer Trail
This 1.5-mile trail is rated strenuous and climbs a vertical cliff with 1500-foot elevation gain. Take in excellent views of the river and Lee's Ferry when you reach the summit and take a much-deserved rest before heading back down.
Cathedral Canyon Trail
This 1.25-mile trail is rated moderate. Traverse a narrow canyon with interesting rock formations along a trail that ends at Cathedral Rapid on the Colorado River. Be sure to watch out for quicksand and mud holes on your trek.
Lee's Ferry on the Fly
Lees Ferry on the Fly offers guided fishing trips and self guided kayak trips at Lees Ferry. Owner Dave Foster is the author of "Fly Fishing Lees Ferry" and has fished the river since 1970. Co-owner Dave Trimble is the area's most renowned fly tier. With a combined 80 years of experience at the Ferry, they are the clear choice for a great visit to the Ferry. Grand Canyon 3-18 Day River Trips
The National Park Service has a list of companies providing trips through the Grand Canyon, Lees Ferry to Diamond Creek (226 river miles). Each company offers a variety of trips lasting 3-18 days in large, motorized rafts, oared rafts, paddle rafts and dories.
